The Helmand - the city's only Afghan restaurant - moved from North Beach and added 'Palace' to its name, but it's still as good as it ever was. Influenced by the flavours of India, Asia and the Middle East, the food is deliciously aromatic, with marinades and fragrant spices. Specialities include leek ravioli and lamb lawand (leg of lamb sautéed with garlic, onion, tomatoes, mushrooms, yoghurt and spices).
