With Pride celebrations in full swing, expect this week’s happenings to be hella fierce.
Monday: Mobley and ANML
Austin-based artist Mobley has composed dozens of R&B and instrumental pieces for networks like HBO, FOX and Netflix. He also writes and produces his own music, designs his album artwork, directs his own videos and even builds new instruments. Mobley will be accompanied by electro-pop powerhouse ANML.
Tuesday: Refugee Food Festival
June 19th kicks off the week-long Refugee Food Festival. Participating SF restaurants will hold dinners over the duration of the festival, showcasing one refugee chef at a time.
Wednesday: Movies on the Green
This NorCal summer stable is back, starting its weekly screenings (Wednesdays at 6pm) with a viewing of The Wizard of Oz. So grab snacks from Marin Country Mart, settle in atop a large blanket, and enjoy summer cinema at its finest.
Thursday: Rainbow Lights at City Hall
Swing by City Hall this Thursday (June 20) to see the first rainbow lighting of the year. The lights will be up every night this week, except Saturday when the hall will be lit blue, white and pink in honor of the Annual Transgender March.
Friday: Gaga Ball
Back my popular demand, The Midway's DJ Jeffery will be spinning tunes that span Mother Monster’s entire career. Her iconic videos will also grace the club’s giant video walls.
Saturday: Treasure Fest
Treasure Fest (formerly Treasure Island Flea Market) is back for the summer. Attendees can expect to sip exquisite wines, devour mouth-watering bites, and shop vintage goods from the 400 vendors on site. This weekend’s theme is “Summer of Love.”
Sunday: Pride Parade + DAYTIME JONES
Get ready to see Market Street painted with all the colors of the rainbow as hundreds of Pride floats make their way down Market Street from the Embarcadero to Civic Center. For those looking to continue the festivities, celebrate with Juanita MORE! at DAYTIME JONES.
