Time Out says

After a protracted creative silence punctuated only by album release delays and the infrequent explosive Twitter beef, Azealia Banks finally set things right and dropped Broke with Expensive Taste, her highly anticipated studio debut, at the end of 2014. It's a playful, diverse collection that cherry-picks ideas from M.I.A., Missy Elliott, Janelle Monae and, er, Ariel Pink to cook up a refreshing advancement on hip-hop. March saw her unleash the anticipated mixtape, Slay-Z; see her give the tunes a live airing here.
