500 Capp Street

Locally revered and internationally recognized conceptual artist David Ireland made this Mission District home into a liveable, malleable artwork over his 30 years there. The 500 Capp Street Foundation was founded to restore and preserve his work, as well as carry on his legacy of assisting younger artists with its Artist in Residency program. It is now open to the public as an exhibit and functional art space.
