The historic Balboa Theatre presents a classic movie series every Thursday, and this month it is honoring legendary director Stanley Kubrick. The fest kicks off with his 1962 film Lolita, based on that book by Nabokov, and starring James Mason as tortured-in-love Humbert Humbert and Shelley Winters as the desperate mother of his 14-year-old object of obsession.
