1. Great Oak Manor
This villa has a real architectural flair that you can feel the moment step through the doorway. Each room has been carefully adorned with contemporary art pieces (we're talking chock-full of paintings and ceramics) and cool furnishings to add a vibrant touch. Then, of course, there's the high ceilings that open the space up, while floor-to-ceiling windows give you the most luxurious panoramic views of Sonoma Mountains, though, we think it is best enjoyed from the patio and pool. In each unit, you'll find a private bathroom with a bath or shower, a fridge and a coffee machine. And when the tiled flooring fails to keep you cool, just whack the air con up.
The mood? Cosy and curatorial.
Location perks? Under 10km from Sonoma State Historic Park.
Budget range? Well worth the kidney.
