Watch your comedy heroes crumble or soar as they are confronted with the nightmare scenario of having to perform with zero audience feedback. Seven Minutes in Purgatory was hatched by Chicago-bred funny person and The Onion contributor Ian Abramson and features a deceptively simple hook: Stand ups are outfitted with noise-cancelling headphones, sequestered in a nearby room and forced to perform to a camera. The video plays back live to the audience, who relish this opportunity to witness a potential meltdown. Abramson will be joined by LA alt-comedy bad girl Megan Koester, along with local faves including noted crowd work enthusiast Kaseem Bentley.
