Pump up the JAMS: A Tribute to DJ AM with Mix Master Mike

The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival is putting on a very apropos celebration of the life of DJ AM with a high-energy after hours dance party featuring legendary turntablist Mix Master Mike of Beastie Boys fame. The party follows the decidedly more somber California premiere of As I AM: The Life and Times of DJ AM, a feature length documentary focused on the life and death of Adam Goldstein, who achieved global recognition as an A-list DJ, earned millions and even survived a horrific plane crash only to succumb to an overdose at age 36. Remembered for his generous spirit and amazing talent, an epic party seems a fitting memorial for this artist gone too soon.
