The 2016 James Beard Award nominees were announced this morning, and while some SF semifinalists were cut in a few categories (Outstanding Restaurant, Outstanding Pastry Chef and Rising Star Chef of the Year, among others), there are still quite a few players left in the game. We're excited to see that Liholiho Yacht Club made the latest cut, and that we still have a bar represented. Here are the San Francisco restaurants and chefs named as nominees:

Best New Restaurant: Liholiho Yacht Club

Outstanding Baker: Belinda Leong and Michel Suas (B. Patisserie); William Werner (Craftsman and Wolves)

Outstanding Bar Program: Bar Agricole

Outstanding Chef: Michael Tusk (Quince)

Outstanding Restaurateur: Michael Mina

Outstanding Service: Quince

Best Chef (West): Matthew Accarrino (SPQR); Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn); Corey Lee (Benu)

This is Camino, a cookbook from Russell Moore and Allison Hopelain about the Oakland restaurant Camino, was also nominated for a James Beard Foundation book award.

For a complete list of nominees, check out the list here. The winners will be announced at the 2016 James Beard Awards ceremony on May 2 at Lyric Opera of Chicago.
