After a successful pop-up in 2016, Ayesha Curry, wife of Warriors superstar Steph Curry, is bringing her unique style of barbecue back to San Francisco—this time for good.
With the help of local empire-builder Michael Mina, Curry's first brick-and-mortar restaurant, International Smoke, will open in the former RN74 space on the ground floor of Millennium Tower on November 13. The menu will feature grilled and smoked meats prepared with a global twist. Think: Indian fried fish (the recipe comes from chef Raj Dixit), binchotan-grilled lobster and duck wings with jerk spice.
Curry has quickly made herself a culinary force in the Bay Area with multiple cookbooks, her own Food Network Show, a cookware line and even her own meal kit delivery service. She was also recently named the newest face of Cover Girl and the new host of “The Great American Baking Show.”
Looks like Steph might have to give up his chef nickname.
