Halloween is as good a time as any to laugh at the frightening state of our nation.

Next month, Book Passage and The Curran Theater celebrate the world's first fake presidential memoir, You Can't Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump (Penguin Press) with a political discussion and book signing with authors Alec Baldwin and Kurt Andersen.

Andersen, “America’s foremost Trump scholar” and Baldwin, “America's foremost mediocre Trump impersonator” will discuss the current political and cultural climates on stage at The Curran on November 18. Come early for a VIP book signing and cocktails with Baldwin himself. Tickets to the special event include the Trump tome, which, according to its author, is 100% true.

“People are already saying it may be the truest book ever published,” said Baldwin.

If you're looking for laughs this weekend, head to the 2nd Annual Comedy Roast of Donald Trump featuring two nights of top insult comics on both sides of the Bay.Trump impersonator Frankie Griffen from Upright Citizens Brigade in LA will suffer the slings and arrows and group selfies.
