Don't get us wrong, we love that San Francisco is a favorite travel destination for people all over the world. Who could blame anyone for wanting to visit our gorgeous city? Heck, we love it so much, we live here.

And it should also be noted that we are just as guilty of cliché tourist faux pas when we travel ourselves. But with all that said, there are some tourist types we just can't help but point out. Here are the 8 tourists you will definitely find visiting San Francisco:

1. The family that only visits Fisherman's Wharf. The stay there, they eat there, they shop there. The only San Francisco these folks will see is the airport, Boudin Bakery, and the view from an open-air double decker bus—or their segways.

2. The lady that stops at the top of every escalator at the Westfield Mall to consult Google Maps. Step aside, ma'am.

3. Confused public transit riders too nervous to ask any questions. (Be a good San Franciscan and lend a hand if you can. Show the world real San Francisco values.)

4. Conventioneers, sporting massive Moscone Center convention badges while having drinks at the InterContinental… before having drinks at the Gold Club.

5. Looky-loos who come to see the San Francisco freak show and are sorely disappointed. Sure, we've got a few naked people at 17th and Market, and some nouveau hippies wandering the Haight, but for better or worse, the people of San Francisco don't look as weird as Fox News might have led some to believe. If only they knew about the Folsom Street Fair...

6. Proud, supportive Midwestern moms and dads having lunch at Orphan Andy's.

7. The tourists who skip San Francisco all together (aside from SFO) and head straight for Wine Country. Hiccup.

8. The school class who travels to San Francisco for the day to learn about the Golden Gate Bridge only to find the entire icon completely hidden by fog. They always, always pose for pictures anyway.
