A vibrant display of costumes, colors, performers and more took over the Mission District throughout the weekend for the 38th annual Carnaval San Francisco. This yearly free festival is a celebration of Latin American and Caribbean cultures that aims to highlight the power of music, dance and art. The two-day event culminated with the Grand Parade on Sunday morning as thousands of people gathered to revel in the salsa and samba beats that filled the air.
