The building, which had its origins as a Medical Arts building, was designed by local architect Ralph Cameron in the 1920s. In 1984, the 13 stories were converted into the Emily Morgan Hotel, named for Emily Morgan, who some say was the muse for the proverbial song, the “The Yellow Rose of Texas.” Just across the street from the historical Alamo, the intricate façade of the Gothic Revival building is also a sight to see. For an added treat, book a room with an Alamo View.
