This below-ground music venue has been entertaining the Prague community since the beginning of the 20th century. Beginning with theater and cabaret shows in the 1920s, this mid-sized concert stage now draws international bands ranging from hip hop legends to local favorites during the week. On Fridays and Saturdays, an all-ages crowd packs the stage and dance floor for an 80s and 90s party with DJ Jirka Neumann, a local staple running strong since the millennium first arrived. Weeknight shows vary from early evening curtains to an average 8:00pm start, with the box office open weekdays from 9:30am. A full bar of moderately-priced beer, wine, and spirits keeps the audience lubricated and lively.
Time Out tip: Brush up on your Grease and Dirty Dancing choreography – the room is likely to perform both soundtracks while singing along at some point in the night.
