If Casa Aleixo, in the Campanhã area, was a person, it would be that sweet granny that works wonders in the kitchen and won't let you leave the table without clearing your plate (and then just one more bite for the road). That is exactly how you will feel at Casa Aleixo. Full of good food, from a selection including great “tripas” tripe stew, kid goat, pig trotters, bean stew, veal... Everything you could want is on the menu. But don't think they only work with meat. Also served daily are the octopus fillets with rice. And then there's great fish, including hake and cod, the latter cooked in a rotating variety of ways.
