After success with their first place near Avenida dos Aliados, this beer-hall has opened a second branch near the Coliseu do Porto. It is larger, with 250 seats over two floors, and with some new additions to the menu such as papas de sarrabulho (made with cornmeal and blood), the codfish with capers and mustard, and the minced beef with pickles. Classics from the original place include the meat rissoles with mushrooms and truffles, the fried onion with black-garlic mayonnaise and, of course, the francesinha, Porto’s famed multi-layered sandwich. Any cervejaria features beer as well, of course, and here there are brands from Portugal, Belgium, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands.
