This museum recreates 19th century life linking it with the romantic movement and Porto. It has a billiards room, a ballroom, a dining hall and scores of accessories. This late 18th century building is located in the Quinta de Sacramento or Macieiras, and aims to preserve the feel of a bourgeois house of the era. The museum also has mementos of Charles Albert, King of Sardinia and Prince of Piedmont, who exiled himself in Porto in 1849 and rented the house.
