Fireworks & Fountains

Longwood Gardens, the horticultural haven, 30 miles west of the city in Kennett Square, brings back its much-oohed-and-aahed Fireworks & Fountains spectacular for six weeks this summer. The fireworks displays, set to both old- and new-school tunes, feature fountain choreography, including jets that send water 175 feet skyward. Each presentation is centered around a different theme, including patriotic ditties around Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, a Leonard Bernstein celebration in August and an evening of whimsical Disney tunes in September.
