Act II Playhouse

On the charming main street of Ambler, Pennsylvania, around 40 minutes north of Center City, the popular Act II Playhouse offers a full season of plays, musicals and revues (in fact, shows often run through the summer months). Light-weight fare dominates here, but the loyal Act II audience doesn’t mind a bit. Some of the material is shaped around Artistic Director Tony Braithwaite, long a favorite Philly comic performer—but he also brings in some strong Philly talent.
