The esteemed Italian pizza inspectors from 50 Top Pizza have revealed the 2024 list of the best pizza in the U.S., and one Philadelphia spot made the list. Coming in hot behind pizzerias in New York and San Francisco, Pizzeria Beddia was named a very impressive number three and was given the New Entry of the Year Award for its first-time appearance.
Each year, anonymous inspectors from the prestigious, Italy-based 50 Top Pizza, visit pizzerias around the world to release its rankings. Criteria includes the quality of the pizza as well as the all-important customer experience. The diminutive Pizzeria Beddia in Fishtown earned accolades for its fabulous pies, earning a spot behind Una Pizza Napoletana in New York and Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco. It’s the only Philadelphia pizzeria to make the list of 50.
