It’s been a while since the days when you could consume hours of music videos on your TV. The Bok Building’s Music Video Showcase will take you back to that era when it presents the fourth iteration of the popular event in its auditorium this Thursday, July 18.

Music Video Showcase IV includes videos from local musicians and filmmakers. 24 videos were selected from hundreds of submissions from Philly’s thriving creative community. The videos include a wide range of musical genres and filming styles. The creators will be in attendance at the event.

The Showcase keeps alive the tradition of classic MTV and VH1, when videos dominated their schedules. This is the fourth year of the event, and the second year it’s been held at the Bok. Organizers chose a variety of videos to truly showcase the talents of the Philly creative scene.

A highlight of the selections appearing in the showcase will certainly be the video for “Shower Song” by Philadelphia’s own Tierra Whack. The video was directed by Philly-based filmmaker Alex Da Corte, whose entry for St. Vincent's "Broken Man" is also a featured submission.

The free event takes place on Thursday, July 18 from 7:30-9:30pm. Find out more information on the Bok Building’s website.
