This inaugural study surveyed 5,710 people across the country and ranked convenience store chains on a 100-point scale. The battle was fierce, but Wawa came out on top with an impressive score of 82, narrowly beating QuikTrip, which earned 81 points. Beloved road trip mecca Buc-ee’s and Murphy USA tied for third with 80 points.
The rankings didn’t just consider your basic questions like "Does it have gas and snacks?". The survey took a deep dive into factors like store hours, locations, mobile app quality, mobile order pickups and—of course—the all-important food service. And that's where Wawa—and its beloved hoagies—really shined.
If you’ve ever debated Wawa versus Sheetz, you already know how intense the rivalry can get. But this time, Wawa is the clear winner with its industry-leading 82 points. Sheetz—though solid—had to settle for fourth place with a score of 79. Close, but no Sizzli.
The survey also ranked convenience stores on a regional level. Wawa, of course, owned its home turf in the Northeast, while Buc-ee’s ruled the South. But Wawa was a close second in the Southern region, proving it’s not just a local legend but a growing national treasure.
Between its fresh food options, top-tier app experience and cult-favorite coffee, it’s no wonder this East Coast staple has America hooked. It's what Wawa's fiercely loyal fans have known all along.
