On Saturday, bare-bottomed cyclists numbering in the hundreds hopped on their bikes to ride around Center City for the ninth annual Philly Naked Bike Ride. Besides the chance to ride around the city naked as a jay bird—and giving unsuspecting passersby something to gawk at—the ride is also a protest of sorts, to raise awareness around fuel consciousness, increased rights for Philly cyclists and to encourage body positivity.

The 2017 Philly Naked Bike Ride kicked off at Glenndinning Rock Garden in Fairmount Park. From there, the caravan of nude and body-painted bikers crossed the city—from the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to Rittenhouse Square and over into Chinatown. The ride ended at Eakins Oval where participants gathered for a group shot.

Photographer HughE Dillon was there to watch it all go down from behind his lens, and he shared some of his best shots from the day. Check them out below.
