Philly-bred rock giants the War on Drugs returned home last night to play a jam-packed show at the Dell Music Center. The concert was put on by Make the World Better Foundation, former Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin’s nonprofit that works to rebuild parks in under-served areas of Philadelphia. Last night’s show raised $150,000.
It couldn‘t have been a more perfect, summer-like night to take in an outdoor gig put on by the War on Drugs, who released their fourth studio album, A Deeper Understanding, at the end of August. Check out photos from the night, including their opening act, Canadian rock group Land of Talk, fronted by singer and guitarist Elizabeth Powell.
