In its 30-year lifetime, the Michener’s permanent collection has grown to 3,500 artworks—many gifted by private collectors who entrusted their cherished art to the museum, and the public. This exhibition honors their generosity and tells the stories of the people behind the paintings, sculptures, photographs, and works on paper.
