Leeuwin Estate

As one of the five founding wineries of the Margaret River region, the always classy Leeuwin Estate has a well-earned reputation. Cattle famers Denis and Tricia Horgan were mentored by Napa Valley legend Robert Mondavi in 1972 in how to transform their farm into what is now Leeuwin Estate. These days the Estate is known for its Art Series Chardonnay, which was thrust into the international spotlight in 1981 and continues to hold a highly sought exceptional classification in the Langton’s Classification of Australian Wine. For a real bougie experience, Leeuwin Estate also boast its own airstrip and can coordinate one-hour charter flight options for guests from Jandakot airport, for an aerial experience of the beauty of Margaret River.
