Passions of Kerala is known for its banana leaf rice - a South Indian cuisine comprised of rice accompanied by vegetables, poppadoms, dahl and curry served on a banana leaf. One can also choose to order supplementary dishes such as the signature crab masala, deep-fried bawal hitam (black pomfret), sambal fish, fried squid and chicken masalaall of which are served atop a banana leaf, both to endow the dishes with the leaf’s fragrance, as well as to accord it an air of authenticity.
