Guests are first greeted by a walkway shrouded in greenery before they come into view of the timbre-clad colonial shop house that is now Isaribi Tei. General opinions of Isaribi Tei are high; they have been revered as one of Penang’s most authentic Japanese restaurant and the quality of their food has been showered with great praise. Fish, when served raw, may be absolutely revolting if not done right but the effect is the reverse when the ingredients are as fresh as how Isaribi Tei serves it. Some of their signature dishes include the rainbow maki, beef tataki, as well as their homemade ice-cream.
