Museum Hotel

The hotel’s on a quiet lane in George Town and very close to the buzzing Penang Road. The 1929 building has nine terraces filled with antique furniture and pieces from the private collection of the hotel’s managing director. The rooms are rich with old world charm from the antiques and luxurious from modern facilities such as flat screen television, highthread count cotton bed linen, air conditioning and rain shower in the bathroom. There’s also a private museum featuring more antiques from the private collection and it’s only for the viewing pleasure of the hotel’s in-house guests. Needless to say, it’s a short walk from various eateries and local attractions such as Chowrasta Bazaar, museums, art galleries and Penang’s heritage area.
