Ignore the awfully dated lobby décor and the cheesy piped-in music and you’ll be in for an excellent, value-for-money stay. Facing the sea, the Evergreen Laurel Hotel is a compact, comfortable place with spotless, very well maintained rooms (plus comfortable quilts) and a great breakfast spread that caters to a wide range of tastes. The lounge isn’t particularly appealing, so look for leisure outside the hotel.
