Fans of Teochew architecture will find a lot to like about this temple. Built in 1885, this temple moved to its present location in 1870. People also know it as the Han Jiang Teochew Ancestral Temple and in 2006, it received the Award of the Merit UNESCO Asia-Pacific for Culture Heritage Conservation. As the community temple for the Penang Teochew Association, its restoration was conducted largely through the funds contributed by the local Teochew community.
