Chap Goh Meh

Dubbed as the Chinese Valentine's Day, Chap Goh Meh is celebrated by the Chinese community on the 15th night of the Lunar New Year. During this special occasion, young ladies of marrying age will venture to the sea promenades to throw oranges into the sea to wish for a soul mate in the year to come. Aside from reliving this age-old tradition, there are also food bazaars, games, performances and grand firework display to see.
