Located on the Place de la Madeleine in Paris, Europa Experience is a one-of-a-kind destination to discover everything you need to know about the European Union in a playful and interactive 16,000 sq ft space, placing the human experience at the heart of the project. From climate change to migration and digital policies, the EU deals with most of the biggest issues the world is currently facing: a trip to Europa Experience will ensure you get a crash course on how it all works. Thanks to videos and interviews, a role-play game and an interactive map, you’ll become an EU expert without spending a penny.
Europe at the heart of Paris
At Europa Experience, visitors are fully immersed in the world of the European Union, getting to know its actors , the different institutions, its operating modes and challenges, shedding a new light on inner workings that are often pretty obscure.
The experience starts in the basement of the building, where you can watch an introductory film projected on a 360° screen to dive right into a session at the European Parliament. Make your way to the ground floor for the next step of the journey: a fully digital and interactive exhibition putting forward a wide scope of European citizens, from an Estonian grand piano-maker to a Maltese environmental activist, whose lives are impacted daily by the European Union and its decisions. Thanks to fun digital installations, get the low-down on the role and activities of the European Parliament, European Commission and the Council of the European Union, as well as an update on the current themes they are dealing with.
An immersive role-play game to discover the European Parliament
If you’re a fan of role-playing, head straight up to the first floor. Open to groups from 16 to 32 people (and still fully free of charge after reservation) the Europa Experience immersive game gives you the opportunity to step into the shoes of a Member of the European Parliament and formulate laws to benefit the greater good. From the hemicycle to the parliamentary committee rooms, in a little over two hours you will have learnt everything about how European legislation is written and debated. A collective experience that is ideally suited for school outings for students of all ages, or for a fun afternoon with friends.
