‘It’s less an exhibition, more an open book,’ declares sports scribe Pierre-Louis Basse, the mastermind behind new photo project ‘Football de légendes, une histoire européene’, on display on the railings of the Hôtel de Ville. In it, thirty photos of legendary European players are accompanied by thoughts from well-respected French and international writers. Set to coincide with Paris’s Euro 2016 festivities, the exhibit includes Jean-Philippe Toyssaint’s homage to Zinédine Zidane, John King tackling George Best and Philippe Delerm on Raymond Kopa. All pieces and photos will also be available in Desports magazine, out on May 19.
