The Superette is a menswear boutique selling mostly hipster/skater trappings (flat-brimmed caps, sneakers, backpacks, graphic t-shirts, key chains and iPhone cases). The shop is so tiny that the selection is necessarily limited, although thoughtfully curated, including classic streetwear brands like Obey, Vans, Supra, 10 Deep and young Danish line Rascals, of which The Superette is the sole Parisian distributor. Check out ’90s-inspired blue tracksuits (€75.99 for the top, €64.99 for the trousers) and ribbed t-shirts stamped with Rascals’ bicycle logo (€37.99). Proprietor Aimé Bella adores the line and sings its praises: ‘I just love their fabrics and sporty-chic approach.’
The range of Néant t-shirts (€39.99) also stand out: simple, muted and well cut, with cuffed short sleeves. The shop’s owner is enthusiastic and the shop itself sleekly presented, but it’s worth checking out the selection in the online store Thesuperette.fr – where you’ll find discounted and sale items – before making the trip.
