Spread over two boutiques at number 64 and 68 of the very well-regarded Rue Saint-Honoré, Starcow (Parisian slang for ‘suit’) specialises in men’s clothing and seems to be the destination for every Parisian gent with a taste for high-end street wear. At number 64, you’ll find everything a skater could wish for: Stussy t-shirts, HUF 5 Panel caps, Vans trainers, boards and Santa Cruz bearings. At number 68, things are a bit more chic: Larose caps mix with Bleu de Paname suits and boots by Red Wing Shoes. Starcow stands out for its unique collaborations with designers and its insistence on quality as well as style. Naturally, the prices match: €45 for a HUF cap, €100 for a Penny Australia skateboard of €260 for a Bleu de Paname jacket – but luckily, there’s also the outlet store Braderie Starcow at 15 Rue Marie Stuart in the 2nd, where you can unearth treasures for a fraction of the price.
