At the limits of what constitutes a concept store, a great energy creates the unity of Rocketship. Plants, lamps, signage, tableware, fine books, vintage furniture from the 50s and 60s: behind each object is a designer whose imagination has caught the eye of owner Benoît Touche, a photographer. The globe-trotter has pulled together creations from artists and artisans around the world: London, Berlin, Sweden, Japan, South Africa and the US. Anglo-Saxon and urban influences are added to a deep desire to promote local talent; Benedict and his brother, the graphic designer Mister Atomic, created the stamp 'Made in 9e', in recognition of the neighbourhood's designers. More delights include Stickaz – stickers which bring the patterns of French street artist Space Invader into your living room – and a series of posters designed by Mister Atomic.
Not content to offer a personal and eclectic selection of objects, Benoît also invites customers to have coffee at the counter. Trained at the distinguished Caféothèque by a former Ambassador of Guatemala, Gloria Montenegro, the master of Rocketship boasts carefully selected roasts from the Paris roaster Coutume.
