17 years since it first opened its doors, wacky Parisian gadget shop Pa Design is still going strong. Just a few minutes’ idle browsing in the 50-square-metre space will confirm the huge amount of time and thought that’s gone into curating the store, which is filled with trendy young brands such as Monkey Business, OMY, Pyropet and Peleg Design. Placing an emphasis on utility, colour and low prices, the shop is full of practical yet playful pieces like a submarine-shaped tea infuser, a watering can camouflaged as a cloud (€8.50) and a small backup light that attaches onto your smartphone. Beyond just offering small novelty gizmos like these, however, Pa Design also stocks various pretty decorative pieces like the excellent Macon & Lesquoy embroidered patches, inspired by French band The Dø, and the stunning sailing boat mobiles of Danish brand Flensted.
