He's know as Easy Sacha; his colleagues are Karl Marc, Just and Yom; his parlour is named after Scooby-Doo's van. There you have this artist's eccentric playfulness in a nutshell. Sacha's been in the business for almost two decades, with a special interest in Japanese-style designs; when we ask what keeps him happy in his work, he replies that he enjoys tattooing 'for what it is: a dialogue with a client. I'd find it hard to be an illustrator – I need that constraint of having to create something for someone.' He proceeds to reel off anecdotes about his most memorable customers: one who wanted a tattoo in memory of his recently murdered father, another who was looking to prettify his private parts... It's an interesting insight into the career of a tattoo artist, and one of the most interesting in Paris at that. If you're looking for an elegant design in an intimate setting, Mystery Tattoo Club is a good bet.
