When? June 22-26 2016
What? The Spring/Summer round of Paris’s biggest fashion event for men.
Where? Various venues in the centre
Men’s Fashion Week in Paris (June 22-26 2016) will feature a roster of fifty designers from around the world, including some of France’s most recognisable and influential fashion houses: Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Hermès and the excellent and sans pareil Dior Homme.
In what critics are hailing as a global ‘Menaissance’, the men’s fashion market has seen unprecedented growth over the past decade (with the UK market experiencing an 18% surge in the last five years alone) so for bloggers and buyers alike, Men’s Fashion Week is an opportunity to scout emerging, lesser-known or neglected talent and to lay their bets for the coming year.
Fashion-forward Parisian chaps and androgynes will also want to keep an eye on the proceedings: indie designers tend to lead the way for seasonal trends and are a little easier on the pocketbook than the major labels.
Pros can apply for places at some Men’s Fashion Week shows, or you can line the streets with the fashion bloggers for a peek at what everyone’s wearing this year (a show-by-show calendar will soon be available here).
