Set on the cobbled Rue Montorgueil among quaint bakeries, bookshops, teashops and cafés, this busy family-owned cheese shop has been around for over 20 years. The orange shop front with its pinstriped awning boasts a tray of cheeses at €9 for five, while inside is a huge selection – the owners have a soft spot for sheep and goat cheeses, but there are plenty of other flavours and intensities too: artisanal Roquefort, Gouda, Cheddar, Mimolette, rounds of Crottin de Chavignol and varieties matured with pepper and spices. Prefer your cheese melted? Then take home a bag of mixed grated Emmental, Gruyère, Comté and Beaufort for a fondue (€22.50/kg). To complete your cheese night, get stuck in to the range of fruit coulis, jams, honeys, organic mustards, cured meats, gherkins, foie gras, duck rillettes and cassoulet.
