The tourists who troop down the Rue des Filles du Calvaire are drawn to Delphine Pariente’s glittering window like flies to honey. They snap away with their cameras, visibly disappointed once they realise they’ve stumbled into an artisanal jewellery shop rather than an art gallery. Nevertheless, they represent about 80% of the shop’s business, unable to resist its gorgeous restored and ‘recycled’ jewellery, sold at knockdown prices. Here, you can expect to pay around €15 for handcrafted earrings and just €125 for an engagement ring.
The store sells refurbished designer pieces (by Chloé, Céline, Miu Miu, etc.) at a 60% reduction. If a piece cannot be restored, its materials are repurposed: a sterling bracelet is transformed into a ring or a pair of earrings. In this crafty atelier, nothing goes to waste.
