Atout Livre

A local bookshop that manages to be generalist and innovative at the same time, Atout Livre has been a fixture of the 12th arrondissement's cultural landscape since 1974. The shop is particularly strong on comic strips, young adult literature and the humanities; but it's the idiosyncratic touches that set it apart, from the staff's personalised recommendations to the trays on wheels in which the books are kept (and which are promptly wheeled away for the occasional onsite concert or book reading).
