Designers Vanessa Lambert and Barbara Zorn opened their home furnishings and textile workshop in a sprawling Montreuil loft after meeting at the Duperré School of Applied Arts. Every Friday, they open the space to the public, allowing visitors to browse and purchase from their range of fabrics and home décor. The Atelier has proved an enormous success, leading to collaborations with a host of major brands like Adieu Tristesse, Uniqlo, Marabout and even Ikea.
In the boutique-showroom, everything is meticulously displayed (not what you’d expect in a workshop): lamps, hanging décor, rugs (from €195), chests, pillows (€35) and even a wide selection of cloth stoles (€31). The unusual patterns used in the fabrics and décor are inspired by the designers’ extensive travels and are perfect for adding sparkle to a home, office or wardrobe. The team also takes custom orders, although the waiting list is inevitably quite long.
