Specialising in soba – fine noodles made from buckwheat flour – Sara is super minimal; think rough grey walls, an open kitchen and a bar for watching the chefs beaver away. On the menu is soba noodles with chicken, tofu or prawn tempura, cold noodles to place in the hot broth or the two served together. Yuzu noodles come with a delicious chicken broth (€16) – it's fragrant, delicate and comforting.
There’s also a range of other Japanese dishes: donburi (meat or vegetables on rice), teriyaki or tonkatsu (breaded pork). Try the homemade sesame or matcha ice cream for dessert (€6 per scoop) – because yes, you can’t put a price on foodie obsessions as good as this.
