Just a few minutes’ walk from the bustle of the Place de la Bastille, Pizza Dei Cioppi opened in 2014 and is run by the same team as the much-loved Caffé Dei Cioppi.
Chef Mario’s thick-crusted, well-presented pizzas are available to buy whole or in slices. Classic margaritas and calzones are available every day as well as a selection of toppings that change often: four cheeses, pepper and sausage, aubergine, artichoke heart and so forth.
Sit in for the €11 menu which includes pizza, a drink and a coffee, or opt for the takeaway menu which is exceptionally good value for money: for just €10 you get a generous slice of pizza, a dessert (choose between a creamy tiramisu and a panna cotta) and a bottle of Italian sparkling water. Bring your packed lunch 200m down the road to the Ping-Pong table at Trousseau square – et voilà – you’ve got yourself the ideal lunch break.
