There isn’t exactly a dearth of options to eat out in the Saint-Martin area of the French capital. But although there’s a whole wealth of fantastic places around here, this also means some of the more discreet addresses sadly slip under the radar.
It was by complete chance that we even came across Ouh Là Là, a cute little café that specialies in gourmet Corsican takes on tacos. They operate a simple menu: three cold tacos, three hot, with the various options changing weekly. On our visit, we try the bold beer-cooked pulled pork taco, served with mashed potato, and another spinach-based variety that pays homage to the owners’ homeland, the ‘Corsican Cannelloni’. Whatever you order, it’ll also come with a side of new potatoes or a small salad.
And if you by chance have room for dessert, make sure to try the house speciality, fiadone, a sort of Corsican lemon cheesecake. Drinks wise, you can try a local Pietra beer or various thoroughly decent wines from small producers.
