Always on the lookout for good Chinese restaurants, we found this basic little joint, Grand Bol, on Instagram. The tome-like menu is practically wheeled out – but we choose to stick to the Chinese-French “nouveautés” section; two dishes with two completely different textures, pork ribs fried in garlic – nicely crispy with mint and dried chillies, then duck with green garlic, which is just as delicious but silkier and more sticky. It’s generously served, refined and reasonably priced, although just a tad more expensive than the other nearby addresses. Be sure of it, we'll be returning to slurp and crunch our way through the other delicate dishes at this excellent address.
