A cut above your average café, the Urbain brothers' second venue (after Bistro Urbain) has a comforting home-cooked-supper vibe, with soups and plats du jour served straight off the stove. Steel saucepans and cooking utensils hang from the ceiling above the counter, bringing together the pared-back décor of mirrors and white brick walls. The hot meal of the day might be a generous portion of perfectly spiced chicken and olive tagine, flavoured with ginger and sprigs of sage on a bed of tabbouleh (€9.50), while gourmet sandwiches (€7-8) are things along the lines of ham, herb Philadelphia, olive and onion confit, or blue cheese, pear and fig tapenade between slices of homemade bread. Everything is available for take away, but you can also sit at one of the wooden tables and tuck in on the spot. For an extra €3, indulge in a dessert served in a ready-to-go box.
